Over the course of the next two weeks, your homework will be project based. All centred around The Crucible and, more importantly, the Salem Witch Trails.
The Hague
The Hague wishes to view the Salem Witch Trials as Crimes Against Humanity. In this case, it must be proven that Abigail Williams and the other girls acted unlawfully and without cause. However, you must also prove that the suspects were, without doubt, innocent of all charges brought to them.
Your role: You may decide which role you would like to take. It could be that of a 'witness' or 'expert'. Or that of Defence Barrister or Prosecution Barrister.
It is set in today's society, therefore, no characters can be brought as witnesses, but one of your group may be seen as a expert character witness, or bring further evidence to the court.
Each Legal Team will represent one or two of the victims or perpetrators of the Salem Witch Trials and bring their findings or arguments to 'The Court'.
Project Tasks:
6. This project will be assessed for Speaking and Listening and aid the undersanding of the play and the final controlled assessment. (Question/task to be posted soon.)
Good Luck.
